Overnights

Max began his Atomic journey somewhere between Yarrawonga and Tocumwal at 2.00am in the morning, travelling along the Murray Valley highway from Walla Walla to Manangatang. Tuned in to a generic pop-hits station, he envisioned the cultural impact of a show that played purely local Australian music and artists. In a similar fashion as the top 40’s did for international artists, his vision was to afford Aussie artists the genuine hype and celebrity-attention that American and British hit-makers received on radio stations all across the wide-brown land.

Some months before this brainwave, Max had closed up shop, a gallery of contemporary art in the St Antoni district of Barcelona. Backpacking with his brother and a Romanian gypsy, he had left the ranks of a big-four international consultancy firm to begin the art-house project in the heart of one of the top ten tourist cities in the world. During the Summer of 2017 their exhibits were featured in a Vice España documentary, detailing clips of art coleccións. Max produced a film about the experience called ‘The Barcelona Project’.

It was during this lucid time that Max developed his life’s motto, Knowledge, Empathy and Purpose. The important components of life, knowledge to amplify results with the intention of creating well-meaning experiences for others. ‘Cognitionis, Rem, Compassio’ in Latin, for good measure.

Shortly after returning to Australia Max sought out new knowledge in marketing and business and applied himself to create positive and exciting experiences for rural and regional musicians across the country heartland of Australia, his place of birth.
