Ryan Stevenson / Music Journalist

No one really knows much about Ryan… The mystery man of Atomic’s music journalism team. He is kind of like an enigma I guess you could call it… Appearing out of nowhere, like he fell from the sky with a book and pen in his hands.

Ryan is a pretty closed up case. As much as we try and get in there, he is the introvert of introverts writing non-stop gold about all things old.

Wise beyond his years, his experience and knowledge of historical artists from all the golden eras of Australian music is second to none.

Sometimes, we don’t hear from him for weeks… Then out of the blue, extensive articles appear out of nowhere, like he has been on a month-long writing binge in the woods with a 30-year-old swag and bottle of 1920’s roaring whiskey…

That man just writes like there is no tomorrow!

I once heard he used to be an amplifier inspector, making sure the number ‘11’ was placed on the volume knobs in order to ensure maximum rock-ability… I also heard he once walked from outback Western Australia across the worlds harshest deserts just to ensure a local band from Tamworth got the blue M&M’s they requested on their rider…

So what does he bring to the team? Well… He brings nothing really…. AND EVERYTHING all at the same time! Whoever this guy is… He is an important and integral part of the Atomic team and we bow to his abilities to produce solid historical content!
