The Motion Below<\/strong>\u00a0are back to finish what they started with “Truth Hurts<\/strong>“, part two of their mini music series that encapsulates the inner turmoil of a man lost within himself and ultimate descent into madness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Truth Hurts” premiered on triple j’s\u00a0Short. Fast. Loud<\/strong>\u00a0on Wednesday and made its video debut at\u00a0TheMusic<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>yesterday! The track was produced, mixed and mastered at\u00a0The Loud Noise Estate<\/strong>(Polaris<\/strong>,\u00a0BLKLST<\/strong>,\u00a0Dealer<\/strong>)\u00a0and demonstrates the contrasting soaring vocals and fearsome raw vocals that have earned the band praise from triple j staff on their\u00a0Unearthed<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>page. The track meanders its way through angry verses to quiet interludes that narrate the dark thoughts of the protagonist. “Truth Hurts” is part 2 of 2, following the release of the previous single “Dead Ends<\/strong>“. The new track carries the same themes as the last, exploring the cycles of addiction and paranoia but with far heavier instrumentation to encapsulate the feeling of a descent into madness.

Part one of the video duo, “Dead Ends”, quickly scored airplay on\u00a0triple j<\/strong>‘s\u00a0short.fast.loud<\/strong>\u00a0as well as Unearthed’s\u00a0TOPS<\/strong>, with numerous positive reviews to boot and an add to\u00a0Spotify\u00a0<\/strong>editorial playlist\u00a0Homegrown + Heavy<\/strong>.\u00a0

Martin Wood Imagery\u00a0<\/strong>directed and produced both music videos that narrate the story of the protagonist\u00a0struggling to free himself from the chains of addiction, wondering how he found himself sinking into a bleak existence and ultimately\u00a0resigning himself to his fate and slipping into madness.
