Fresh off the back of her second #1 single Skimming the Surface, Isy Cappo steps boldly into her new era with the announcement of her debut EP, Somewhere in the Lost and Found, arriving August 22.
Equal parts soulful, sultry, and sonically expansive, the 7-track project promises to explore the raw terrain of hookup culture, overstimulation, and the ache of emotional dislocation. Think neon-lit heartbreak, hazy flashbacks, and late-night introspection, all wrapped in Isy’s signature alt-pop and R&B blend.
The EP is already catching ears: Skimming the Surface, a moody, hook-laced track navigating toxic love and emotional collapse, topped the national independent charts just last week and landed her a spin on Triple J. But according to Isy, that’s just the start.
Co-produced by Ryan Harvey (Leon Bridges) and Aidan Hogg (G Flip), the EP fuses soulful textures with sharp synths, layering groove-heavy beats over deeply personal lyrics. If the early releases are anything to go by, Somewhere in the Lost and Found won’t just make you dance, it’ll make you feel.
“I had what I can only describe as an out-of-body experience in Cabo,” she explains. “It felt like both a disconnect and a cosmic alignment. That moment became the emotional anchor for this record.”
Week one of the campaign sees Isy’s new singles featured across Atomic’s national digital radio rotation and spotlighted for early listeners on the new Atomic beta mobile app, which is now live in soft launch. Fans can stream Skimming the Surface directly in the app, save it to their playlist, or tip Isy to show support ahead of her full EP release.
A radio interview is also in the works, giving fans a deeper look into the creative process behind Somewhere in the Lost and Found, a record already shaping up to be one of the year’s most talked-about independent releases.
With her past two singles both climbing to the #1 spot on the charts —, and Skimming the Surface already leading the charge, all signs point to a powerful debut for the full EP. Could Isy Cappo pull off a fourth consecutive chart-topper? With momentum like this, we wouldn’t bet against her.
