Mixed Attraction Delivers The Goods
Written by Atomic Newsroom on 13 May 2020
Shortly after releasing his debut album ‘The Palace’, Mixed Attraction sky rocketed to number one. As a part of our pledge to giveaway $20,000 of promotion to artists, we sat down for a discussion with the man himself.
Mixed, your track ‘So Dank Jerk’ has just hit number one, how does it feel?
Well, now I understand how artists thrive off having their community standing behind them. It’s crazily one of the best feelings in the world actually. Being socially accepted is really nice. You have this awareness of it 24/7. Come to think of it, I could probably use that to sell products somehow…. (laughs).
Do you self-identify as a Jerk?
Absolutely not, the Jerk is a dance move.
You’re actually no stranger to our music charts, being one part of the popular band Desertlife, tell us about it?
Desertlife was a foray into punk-rock. My interest has piqued with dance music but there is a certain aura around rock stars that’s smothering. I started the band with my brother back in 2015. We had good times, made funny music and even got some love on the music charts. We still have a bit of a fan base out there. It’s kinda weird but I love it when someone quotes me something out of the blue.
Whats the most common quote you hear?
Ah recently someone said, “with my titties out”. So that’s about the message we got across I guess LOL
Love it! What’s the most embarrassing song you’ve ever produced?
Without a doubt, it’s Making Sexy Passion Love.
How come?
Everything from the production to the theme to the photoshoot. It’s my real-life, Robin Sparkles moment.
So, tell us about your latest song, your number one hit?!
It’s the first song of my album titled, ‘The Palace’. It’s so dank man, have you listened to it yet? It’s available through Atomic Stream Space. Just like all my other music. I love what you guys do. I wrote the song when I was living in London with my Uncle’s family. I had moved there for six months and was really feeling the vibe, like this heightened sense of awareness and it all just came out on the track.
Mixed Attraction’s So Dank Jerk is currently #1 on the Atomic Stream.Space and weekly radio charts. Check it out on the link below:
