Alienist Release HEAVY single ‘Severance’

Five-Piece Metalcore outfit Alienist are straight outta The ‘Gong. Hailing from Wollongong in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Alienist are today announcing that their brand new single is titled ‘Severance’ and will be available in all online outlets and streaming platforms this Friday May 8th at http://ffm.to/alienist_severance. The track boasts catchy AF melodies, soaring vocals and punchy, powerful guitar riffs. 

Guitarist Damon Renes says that “Severance is an energetic and fierce track telling a story about a man who cuts himself off from the world as it is today.

The band previously were triple j Unearthed Winner, taking their local spot in Wollongong supporting Northlane on their 4D tour around Australia with their previous single ‘Social Faker’, with Unearthed saying “Five piece metalcore group Alienist are flying the flag for Wollongong this summer! Moving the same circles as Windwaker, Drown This City and Polaris when it comes to the energy burning on record, Alienist are match fit for the gig. Their song ‘Social Faker’ fkn goes in.” 

That single was also spun on triple j’s The Racket, with presenter Lochlan Watt saying that the track was “Solid as – the influences listed over there are definitely being done justice.”  

In their short time as a band, they have shared the stage with NorthlaneGravemindIsotopesTeethElision, and many more. 

This new track Severance was Produced/Mixed/Mastered by Clayton Segelov, assisted by Angie Watson and recorded at “The Brain Recording Studios” in Sydney.

Alienist are: Damon Renes (Clean Vocals and Guitar), Chris Olliffe (Bass), Lachlan Forsberg (Vocals), Jake Ceely (Drums) and Anthony Vella (Guitar).
